Job Description:
The Outreach and Sales Coordinator will play a critical role in expanding the company’s impact by fostering partnerships with key stakeholders, including New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) developments, community organizations, and government agencies. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of NYC’s community landscape, particularly NYCHA properties, and will proactively reach out to secure contracts and funding for Share For Life’s programming.
Responsibilities:
- Sales & Outreach:
- Conduct targeted outreach to NYCHA developments, community organizations, and key stakeholders.
- Make sales calls to potential partners to secure programming contracts.
- Present educational programs to stakeholders and explain the value and impact of our offerings.
- Curriculum Development:
- Review current curriculums and lesson plans, updating them to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Develop new innovative curriculums and lesson plans that align with community needs.
- Design and produce supplemental materials to support curriculums and lesson plans.
- Community Engagement:
- Coordinate outreach to DYCD programs and NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools, especially those in close proximity to NYCHA developments.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners to foster long-term collaboration.
- Represent the company at community events and meetings.
- Administrative & Reporting:
- Communicate ongoing updates to the leadership team.
- Assist in developing and writing grant proposals to secure funding for education and outreach projects.
- Maintain records of outreach efforts, partnerships, and program performance metrics.
- Event Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate community events, workshops, and initiatives.
- Establish and monitor goals for events and programs to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of residency in New York City.
- Strong knowledge of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) developments and NYC’s community landscape.
- Proven experience in community outreach, partnership development, or sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Grant writing experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools.
