The Marketing Director oversees all global marketing functions for Industry Nine. This includes overseeing all major initiatives and channels such as event management & sponsorship, social media, email campaigns, athlete sponsorship budget, media & ad buys, PR, sales team asset & event support, content projects, and more. The Marketing Director will be in charge of allocating a preset marketing budget across various platforms and channels to effectively accomplish i9 goals and reporting back on campaign effort ROI. The candidate will be in charge of managing the internal i9 US marketing team as well as providing direction to i9 Europe.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience working within a marketing budget and reporting on ROI by campaign and channel.
Proven leadership & communication skills
Develop deep understanding of Industry Nine brand and product catalog
Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to report a clear ROI on marketing campaigns
5 years of relevant bike industry experience directing marketing teams and campaigns
This role requires a BA or BS degree in business, marketing, or related field
Proven experience working with agents, vendor partners, media, etc.
Proven success in creating and delivering marketing initiatives
Track record of developing go to market launch strategies
Responsibilities
Collaborate with executive leadership team to develop sales and marketing strategy
Maintain and continue to evolve clear brand guidelines and expectations across campaigns
Manage a small, but scrappy in-house marketing team providing clear direction and communication
Positively represent Industry Nine externally across all media channels
Drive marketing campaigns and product launches in conjunction with overall company goals, product development, production, and sales teams
Oversee email marketing, social media strategy, paid digital / social, and traditional media buying
Guide event marketing calendar including event activations
Work closely with i9 Team Manager to optimize ROI from i9 sponsored athletes
Develop cohesive sales & marketing synergy so support sales team for seasonal campaigns, sales, and product launches
Drive outcomes within the marketing budget and report back on ROI from various campaigns
Manage the annual media budget, media plans, messaging, advertising, email communications, promotions and signage across all channels and platforms
