The Opportunity
As the Social Media Manager at INDYCAR, you’ll be instrumental in bringing the overarching social strategy to life across all INDYCAR-owned channels (@INDYCAR and @INDYNXT). Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, you will lead the charge around INDYCAR’s social media efforts through content development, community management, and a continual focus on engaging and growing the fan base. You will be a dynamic leader working alongside a team of social strategists and content creators to deliver against the larger marketing vision.
Who You Are
- Social Expert – With 5 years of related experience, you have a deep understanding of major social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, etc.) and are ready to own your role, working within a dynamic team that celebrates speed, creativity and collaboration.
- Trend Seeker - You stay current on the latest trends across the social space. You’re always looking for the next opportunity and finding ways to make them relevant to your audience and the brand.
- Insight Driven - You are strategy and data-driven, working with a growth mindset and the ability to turn key insights into actionable strategies that resonate with INDYCAR and greater motorsports fans. You have experience with social analytics tools (e.g. Blinkfire).
- Inspiring Leader – You have 2 years of experience overseeing direct reports. You know how to motivate a team, inspire creativity, and foster collaboration.
- Detail Oriented – You’re proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Premier Pro. To you, the details matter. You have an eye for proofing and double-checking for accuracy.
- Proactive – You’re a self-starter who doesn’t wait for things to happen – you make them happen!
