About the Role:

The Workforce and Community Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing the operational efficiency and community engagement of IndyGo in Indianapolis. This position is responsible for developing and implementing workforce strategies that align with organizational goals while fostering a positive work environment. The manager will also engage with local communities to build partnerships that support workforce development and promote our services. By analyzing workforce trends and community needs, the manager will ensure that our staffing levels meet operational demands while also addressing the needs of the local population. Ultimately, this role aims to create a sustainable workforce that contributes to the overall success of IndyGo.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in workforce management or community engagement.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and workforce development practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in the transportation and warehousing industry.
  • Proven track record of successful community outreach and partnership development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Engage with local community organizations to promote workforce development initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce data and trends to inform recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of workforce initiatives and community partnerships.
