THE POSITION
This position is responsible for the operation and management of the Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate (ASA) Facility. The position leads, directs and controls the day-to-day activities for the site to achieve the financial and operating objectives set by the overall business plan. The position is responsible for activities such as SHE, quality, reliability, CAPEX, process development, and people management and development.
This role will report directly to the VP, Operations for the Americas. The Bayport Polymer (ASA) Plant has additional complexities associated with the nature of the unit which will include frequent engagement with the commercial teams as well as the logistics and supply chain planning group as this unit manages finished goods. Additionally, ASA is a global product for INEOS Styrolution and this role will work collaboratively with Global Technology, R&D, etc.
What You Will Do
This opportunity is located in Pasadena, TX, in the greater Houston metropolitan area, about 30 miles east of downtown. Please note that relocation is not available for this position.

What You Will Do
- Demonstrate strong adherence to the INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral-Based Safety, setting the standard for SHE performance and continuous improvement.
- Oversee overall plant management, including SHE, production, quality, maintenance, capital planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance management.
- Drive strategic initiatives, including multi-year capital planning, budgetary management, and leveraging resources across Gulf Coast sites (TXC and BPT).
- Ensure alignment with business needs through engagement with commercial teams, overseeing logistics and warehousing functions, and supporting regional ISO certifications (9001 and 14001).
- Provide leadership and accountability for key processes such as PSM, MOC, and PHA, as well as quality issue investigations and workforce training.
- Actively participate in community outreach, Emergency Operations Center activities, and serve as the regional spokesperson for media inquiries regarding the Bayport Polymer Plant.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering required (Masters preferred)
- A minimum of ten (10) years in Chemical Manufacturing
- A minimum of 5 years leading large teams on site.
- Experience in polymers strongly preferred. Extrusion experience is a plus.
- General knowledge of and exposure to SAP and Microsoft office suite
- Knowledge of quality and environmental systems.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental requirements.
- Strong chemical manufacturing experience and process knowledge of styrene monomer preferred
- Strong demonstrated knowledge of Process Safety Management requirements.
- Conversion cost and capital budgeting.
- Strong business acumen.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Build, maintain, and effectively communicate a clear vision for success.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills, managerial courage, and the ability to lead and manage change.
- Demonstrate proficiency in communication (verbal and written), problem-solving, decision-making, and long-range planning.
