Shipping Clerk

Inesscents Aromatic Botanicals has been known for high quality, sustainably sourced organic body care since 2000. Located in Ashland, OR our products are manufactured in small batches and are shipped directly to natural food stores nationwide. We have a small, long-standing, dedicated team and are looking for the right person to support us as we grow.

Our new Shipper will be someone who likes to work independently, has a great eye for detail and takes pride in their work. Familiarity with the natural products industry is preferred but not required if you are the right fit. Being resourceful and self-motivated is imperative, as is an individual who cares about our brand and mission.

Job Responsibilities

· Pull, Prepare, and pack orders with efficiency.

· Verify each shipment for accuracy ensuring all goods are accounted for and in acceptable condition.

· Package and ship according to company standards to avoid damages in transit.

· Organize and stock finished products in their designated location.

· Accurately weigh, label and log completed orders.

· Properly label and organize packages for pick up.

· Locate errors, discrepancies, and inaccurate inventory counts.

· Monitor supplies needed for the Shipping Department.

· Keep a clean and highly organized workspace.

· Approach issues with a resourceful and problem-solving attitude.

· Ability to work at a consistent and quick pace while keeping focused.

· Adaptable with the changing needs of the business and daily demands.

· Ability to pack large orders with a variety of different products – different sizes, different packaging (some of which are fragile).

· Must be able to pack with care as these are items that will be displayed on store shelves.

· Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to learn existing shipping methods and step points.

· Daily and weekly cleaning and end of day tasks.

· Picks up recycled packing material from local vendors.

· Clear communication with all staff.

Qualifications

· Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

· Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods while working on your feet.

· Ability to problem solve and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.

· Excellent record keeping skills.

· Personal accountability and integrity.

· Must enjoy working independently.

· Interpersonal and positive communication skills are essential.
