Cardiovascular Sonographer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams of the heart and blood vessels to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and pathology, excellent technical skills, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care.

Notes: Must have vascular and echo registries

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Diagnostic Ultrasound Exams: Conduct high-quality echocardiograms, Doppler studies, and other cardiovascular ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Patient Interaction: Prepare and position patients for procedures, explain the process, and provide reassurance to ensure patient comfort.
• Record Keeping: Accurately document patient information, procedures performed, and findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field.
• Certification: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from a recognized certifying body. Additional certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS) may be preferred.
