ABOUT THE ROLE
The client seeks TWO experienced Desktop Support Specialists to aid in Client Windows XX Upgrade Project to migrate from Microsoft Windows XX and Office XXX (32-bit) to Windows XX and Office X6X (6X-bit).
This individual will be responsible for upgrading and reimaging workstations to Windows XX in addition to installing and configuring Office X6X and other related software. The specialist will also serve as a point of contact for tracking and reporting deployment status and troubleshooting any upgrade issues. The Desktop Support Specialist will exhibit excellent communication and exceptional customer service skills by working directly with end users in addition to collaborating with other Client technical and project teams.
- Working knowledge of and experience with Windows XX and Windows XX operating systems
- Recent experience in a full-time Help Desk/Technical Support position X
- Experience and proficiency using an Endpoint Management System X
- Experience and proficiency using a Workstation Imaging Solution X
- Experience and proficiency using a Service Management Ticketing System X
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office X6X applications X
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities X
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills X
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as a team X
- Ability to work effectively with end users, technical staff, and senior staff providing exception customer service
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and/or SQL reporting
- Experience with Symantec's Altiris and/or Microsoft InTune
- Experience with Ivanti Service Desk
- Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
- Experience with Active Directory
