Sr Oper Machine

The "Machine Operator and Material Handler" role integrates the operation of industrial machinery with the management and movement of materials within a warehouse or production facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks, storing inventory, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials to production lines. Proficiency in operating material handling equipment like forklifts and maintaining accurate inventory records while adhering to safety protocols is essential.

In your new role you will:

Material Handling:

• Load and unload materials from trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Transport materials to designated storage areas within the warehouse.
• Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
• Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing materials, including quantity and quality checks.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counting and data entry.
  
  

Machine Operation:

• Set up, operate, and monitor machinery according to production standards and quality specifications.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance, reporting any issues to maintenance personnel.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Monitor production output and identify potential quality issues.
  
  

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety procedures related to machine operation and material handling.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Report any safety concerns or hazards immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  
  

Work Environment:

• Industrial manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Exposure to noise from machinery
• May require working in varying weather conditions depending on the facility.
  
  

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Forklift Certification: Ability to operate and maneuver forklifts safely.
• Inventory Management: Experience with inventory control systems and procedures.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive movements.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in identifying and handling materials.
• Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in data entry and inventory management systems.
• NCIC/MRPT background check (required)
• Relevant completed vocational / professional training of at least 3 years, or
• Relevant completed vocational / professional training of 2 years and longer additional subject-specific experience ( total knowledge and skills can also be acquired in other ways)
• Preferably working experience in a manufacturing environment

Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate:

Minimum of $ 40,800 salary per year

Maximum of $ 56,100 salary per year

In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
