Essential Job Responsibilities
The ability to present your-self as a confident ACH Technical Consulting professional in any customer facing situation (in-person, via telephone or electronically via email) willing to provide excellent support to financial institution clients regardless of any personal perceptions held is the number one responsibility on the PS team
Technical leadership for project based assignments; you may be the Fiserv expert on the ACH team
Working with cross-functional project teams to install and test high availability Payments applications
Install, configure, trouble-shoot and smoke test Fiserv products using many of the following technologies with a high level of proficiency: IBM Mainframe TSO/ISPF, DB2, CICS, MQ, file transmissions methods/tools, JCL, job schedulers, source control management products
As requested, provide technical platform support documentation as part of project deliverables
Education
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Engineering or Software preferred or High School diploma and 10 years related technical field experience with Fiserv ACH products similar to job description
Job Related Experience / Qualifications, Required
5 plus years interacting with customers to analyze, validate needs, build and document application platforms specifically supporting the Automated Clearing House (ACH) networks
Some significant level of cross platform integration connectivity experience is desired between web server based applications and IBM mainframe connectivity vehicles (JDBC, MQ series, web services)
Additionally a familiarity with Voice Response and/or FAX platforms is a plus
Hands-on technical Fiserv PEP software support experience:
- PEP software version control using Fiserv proprietary maintenance processing
- PPA, Service Pack, and custom code management
- Experience with analysis & impact control of NACHA rule changes
- Ability to perform client team PEP technical training when/if necessary
- Ability to design and create custom code within or around the PEP environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and/or tune the PEP software when needed
As travel may be required in this position, some work travel life experience is required
Experience supporting a production level electronic payments High Availability platform
Willingness to independently seek out and learn new products or technologies is required (self-starter)
Willingness and ability to produce high quality documentation, including Visio diagrams, high-level descriptions of the environment or workflow, as well as detailed instructions outlining the steps required to repeat an environment deployment and configuration
Strong customer service skills with a high level of professionalism and ability to work in complex support situations
Additional Skills/Knowledge
Strong personal organizational skills with ability to re-prioritize and schedule work to meet target dates
Ability to work independently without daily direction, seeking assistance when and from where required
Capable of exercising extreme discretion and independent judgment to the clients best interests
Ability to communicate either in business or technical language verbally and in writing with confidence
Strong Plus = any additional level of knowledge of distributed platform software technology (examples: JAVA, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, Internet Information Server (IIS), JDBC Drivers, on environments of MS Windows / Linux / AIX )
