JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Recovery Specialist
Department: Client Services
FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY
The Recovery Specialist works with clients at the residential level of care. This position would ensure that clients are working all aspects of the program and meeting commitments and engaged in the treatment process. This position also stays in contact with families and other departments to support the needs of the client during their residential treatment. This tole reports to the Director of Client Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Making sure clients are following guidelines as well as daily schedule.
- Transportation of clients when needed
- Intake/enrollment of clients
- Monitoring of client behaviors and report all specifics in daily documentation
- Check emails daily for any updates/concerns/instructions.
- Monitoring clients while in programming
- Redirecting client’s behaviors
- Ensure the cleanliness of the facility
- Facilitate 12 step groups
- Document all 12 step groups
- Facilitate accountability groups
- Document all accountability groups.
- Walk clients on caseload through the 12-step curriculum as outlined in their binder
- Create and mold the 12-step portion of the program to fit individuals specific needs
- Contact family of clients and transmit progress, as well as struggles of client, and document interaction
- Maintain a balanced schedule to produce most benefit with client and family
- Meet weekly with clients on case load and document interaction
- Make, adjust, and post client phone call sheet every Sunday
- Facilitate the weekly client phone calls and document the content
- Awareness of where each client is at ALL times
- Observing and reporting any problems with property to maintenance department

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as web-based email and EMR system.
