The Superintendent is the field leader of projects who provides on-site field administration/supervision and technical management for all construction operations, including direct supervision of Assistant Superintendents, Subcontractors’ Foreman, directing them in planning, coordination and execution of work
on time, within budget, maintaining a safe work place, promoting and enhancing Client relationships and the Company image.
The Superintendent works in close coordination with the Project Manager and their staff to ensure the timely and cost-effective execution of a quality project, which results in exceeding Client expectations. They oversee the field operations to ensure they fulfill their respective critical roles in order to safely execute timely, profitable and quality work.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*:
· Provide leadership and to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships of the on-site staff and to promote a positive project morale.
· Have a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the General Contract, each Subcontract, the contract drawings, specifications and addenda, and to assist the Project Manager in the development of the on-site procedures.
· Examine the contract drawings, specifications and addenda for design deficiencies, impractical details and possible code violations, and to bring these to the attention of the Project Manager.
· Assist the Project Manager in the development and refinement of the Project Schedule, and to work with the Project Manager to keep the schedules properly updated, and to see that the job meets the various required dates
· Proactively identify and solve problems in a timely manner to minimize risk to the project schedule, quality of work, and job-site safety.
· Plan and review the Construction Program with the Project Manager including quality control procedures, safety and security practices, material staging areas, equipment, and manpower.
· Cooperate with, and direct when necessary, the activities of the inspection agencies, and to effect remedial actions indicated by the reports of these agencies.
· Maintain good relations and communications with all involved in the project.
· Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of the Safety Manual
· Ensure all activities on the job-site adhere to the standards set in the Safety Manual.
