Job Description : Pathology Product Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity to open up your career from the lab and develop yourself into a Subject Matter Expert in the healthcare IT industry! The Pathology Product Specialist will function as a central member for the INFINITT Product Support & Applications Team (reporting to the PACS Product Manager or CPO in lieu of). In this position, you are the consummate team player, adept at managing relationships, collaborating and influencing across a variety of organizational functions. You will be involved with many teams, including : Sales, Technical Support, Project Implementations, Applications, R&D, Software, and Professional Services.
Principle Functions :
- Product Support for any Pathology Related Inquiry
Supporting help desk tickets specific to our pathology product line
Supporting internal employees to respond to / close out pathology related ticketsDirect communications with clients / employees- but also ensuring that email support concerns are also entered into / resolution documented within the help desk ticketing systemPathology Product EducationManage education for INFINITT internal PACS resources to continue improving / achieving higher tiers of product knowledge
Oversee education plans for new and existing customers on the pathology productIdentify needs for documentation, and oversee assigning and approving internally created educational materialsPrimary Implementation Resource Assigned for Pathology ImplementationsWork closely with each customer, to understand their current and future lab environment, workflow and technical requirements
Guide customer admins on the best practices build and deployment of INFINITT Pathology SolutionUnderstand site specific pathology workflows and design INFINITT-based workflows that help accommodate or improve upon these customer needs / demandsOversee the Pathology Education Plan for all user types (Sysadmin, Superuser, End User, etc.)Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure all tasks are accounted for on the project plan, with accurate assignments and deadlines. Ensure deadlines are met and projects stay on time from a product readiness and education perspective.Pathology Sales Support and Demonstrations Escalation for Pathology PACS NeedsDemonstrations : Provide both remote and onsite demonstrations of the INFINITT Pathology product to prospective customers
Tradeshow Participation : Demonstrate and represent our Pathology solution at industry tradeshows for the intended audienceSales Support : Working closely with Sales Team to perform workflow analysis, gap analysis, and or department walk-throughs / evaluation during preliminary sales processProduct EnhancementsRegular communication of new ideas / change requests to the PACS Product Manager and / or Chief Product Officer for continuing improvement of the INFINITT Pathology product
Pulse the industry to keep informed of new industry trends / competitive strengths and weaknesses / competitive product needsAdditional ResponsibilitiesConduct regular meetings with the management to discuss product progression, areas of concern, potential future risks, escalation needs, goals, etc.
Create and deliver executive-level summary reports and presentations on a quarterly basisMaintain existing department policies and procedures and encouraged to create new department polices to increase organization, standardization, and efficiency of workflows for pathology specificallyCollaborate exceptionally and fosters communication within the various departments within INFINITT to enforce respect, cohesion, and cooperationEssential Experience
The Pathology Product Specialist must have a strong Pathology Background with at least five years in a clinical setting and / or extensive knowledge in workflow and imaging. Knowledge and hands on experience with a digital platform in the PACS arena is a plus.
In-depth background in Biomedical Science within a Pathology / Clinical environmentStrong understanding of procedure, process, testing and technical equipment used within at Pathology laboratory environment.In-depth and expert knowledge in one of the following Cell Path disciplines;Cellular Pathology
HistologyHistopathologyCytologyGynae CytologyCytopathologyDiagnostic CytologyAnatomical PathologyCellular SciencesKnowledgeable regarding best practice within the laboratory.Experience with digital pathology strongly preferredEssential Characteristics
