The Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the operational, utility, and permitting functions of the company. This position is responsible for coordinating processes related to solar energy systems, ensuring compliance with utility and permitting regulations, and assisting customers with rebate programs. The Operations Coordinator serves as a key liaison between internal teams, customers, utility companies, and governmental agencies to streamline operations and optimize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Support: Assist in managing day-to-day operations related to solar project coordination, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company processes.
- Utility Coordination: Establish and maintain relationships with utility companies to facilitate the integration of solar energy systems and ensure compliance with interconnection requirements and policies.
- Permitting Assistance: Oversee the permitting process for solar installations by working with local municipalities and agencies to obtain necessary approvals in a timely manner.
- Rebate Program Management: Stay updated on state, local, and federal rebate programs for solar energy installations. Guide customers through eligibility criteria, application processes, and documentation requirements to maximize available incentives.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all solar installations meet regulatory and utility standards, including interconnection guidelines, safety requirements, and permitting regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance workflow processes within the permitting, utility, and rebate functions.
- Data Management & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report data related to project status, utility interactions, and rebate participation to track program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in solar industry operations, permitting, utility coordination, or related fields.
- Familiarity with utility policies, permitting requirements, and rebate programs.
- Experience working with utility companies, governmental agencies, or renewable energy organizations is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights for operational improvements.
- Detail-oriented and process-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
