Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Engineering Reviewer to join our solar energy company. The ideal candidate will have experience in reviewing engineering designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and optimizing solar energy solutions. A background in electrical engineering and proficiency in AutoCAD are preferred. This role is critical in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our solar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess technical drawings, schematics, and electrical designs for solar PV systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.
- Utilize AutoCAD to review and make minor adjustments to design files as needed.
- Provide technical feedback to the engineering and project management teams to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with design engineers to verify accuracy and completeness of solar system layouts.
- Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues and recommending improvements.
- Support the permitting process by ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with local codes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of solar industry best practices, codes, and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in technical design review within the solar or electrical industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software.
- Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and electrical components.
- Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and other relevant industry standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with permitting and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with energy modeling software and solar system performance analysis.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
