Pt/ Full-Time Floral Designer

Looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Floral Designer possessing high quality customer service, independent creativity, and a passion for flowers. The is an advanced designer position with minimum 2 years designing in the industry. We are seeking an a team player, positive attitude, supports our manager's initiatives, willing to train up beginning/ intermediate designers, and has a strong work ethic. Potential opportunity for growth as as an assistant manager as we value our people and all their efforts.

Florist Design Lead Duties and Responsibilities:

*Responsible for following floral recipes and creating new designs. *Ensure that all designs align to company standards and meet or exceed customer expectations. *Ensure that all floral arrangements are within the allocated budget and deadlines are met. *All floral orders are tracked, updated, and managed on all processing systems. *Responsible for preparing floral containers, required props, floral foams and floral carts for storage, and refrigeration. *Maintain photos of all variety of floral arrangements done as a sample or catalogue for customers. *Stay up to date and current in design trends, floral techniques, props and other products.

Prerequisites:

*Acutely familiar with plants' nutritional needs and life spans. *Knowledgeable about flower handling techniques. *Ability to nourish, combine, and affix flowers and pertinent accessories. *Approachable, patient, and forthcoming. *Excellent verbal communication skills. *Advanced knowledge of fresh floral product and design technique. *Excellent customer service skills. *Flexibility, punctuality, teamwork and Cleanliness. *Ready to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions
• Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
• Must have the ability to file, post, and mail materials; copy data from one record to another; interview to obtain basic information; guide people and provide basic direction
• 2 years designing in the industry

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $14.00 - $18.00/hour.
