Principal Investigator
The Principal Investigator (PI) is responsible for overseeing and conducting clinical trials and research projects. This role involves designing, leading, and executing research protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the ethical conduct of studies.
Education:
- MD,/DO License required.
Essential Job Functions
Clinical:
- Oversee, review, and/or performs subject’s medical history, as required.
- Oversee and/or Conduct outpatient study procedures, as required by the specific research project.
- Oversee, review, and/or perform physical assessments, as required.
- Records drug relationships for all Adverse Events.
- Follow-up and/or close-out Adverse Events.
- Oversee, review Pharmacy Custodian.
- Administer study drugs as assigned.
Administrative:
- Review study protocol for the feasibility of conducting a study.
- Attends monitoring visits, study audits, and all appropriate team meetings regarding study protocols.
- Prepare for and participate in sponsor investigator meetings.
- Assist associate administrators in the final Interview and in hiring decisions.
- Oversee and review the documentation of the subject’s medical history and physical examination information.
- Ensure the accurate maintenance of records with regard to the research project.
- Administration of study drugs as required by the specific research project.
- Supervise Pharmacy Custodian responsibilities.
- Ensure that subordinates follow established guidelines in the collection of clinical data and/or administration of clinical studies.
Experience:
- Proven experience in pediatric clinical research, with several years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub Investigator in pediatric clinical trials is preferred.
- Strong background in pediatric protocol design, data management, and regulatory compliance.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in clinical research software, databases, and data analysis tools, with a focus on pediatrics.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $120.00 - $140.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
