What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Design Engineer I position at Infinity Machine & Engineering?
Overall job objective:
The Mechanical Design Engineer I’s main responsibility is to create parts, assemblies, and drawings with a high amount of supervision and guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Create part, assembly, and detail drawings.
- Create, release, and modify BOM’s.
- Complete mechanical assembly and pre-build books.
- Create drawings and models that conform to IMEC standards.
Shared Responsibilities:
- Make design and engineering continuous improvement suggestions to the engineering team.
- Make design and engineering cost improvement suggestions to the engineering team.
- Create, maintain, and present on mechanical engineering standards topics.
- Travel to customer sites as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in mechanical design or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience: Recommended to have 0-2 years of relatable work experience. Must have a high mechanical aptitude with a focus on independent problem solving and have above average personal expectations. Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally to internal and external customers.
