Job Purpose
The Groundskeeper will be responsible, under the direction of the Superintendent, for the outside maintenance of the property.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties can include, but are not limited to:
1) Mowing
2) Trimming
3) Blowing of sidewalks
4) Picking up trash
5) Pressure washing
6) Planting
7) Pruning
8) Watering
9) Fertilizing
10) Digging
11) Raking
12) Sprinkler Installation and/or repair
13) Installation of retaining walls
14) Provided upkeep on sidewalks, parking lots, planters and other ground features.
15) Operates vehicles and powered equipment in the landscaping and maintenance of the facilities.
16) Handles basic issues using knowledge of procedures and policies. Refer more complex issues to the Superintendent for further instruction.
17) Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
The Groundskeeper must maintain a professional and courteous approach with customers, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees. Additionally, the Groundskeeper must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
- Regularly stand, climb, walk, hear/listen, talk
- Frequently lift up to 50-100 pounds, pull/push, carry, grasp, reach
- Occasionally sit, crawl, stoop, kneel
- Clearly see 20 feet, with or without corrective lenses, ability to focus

Workplace Environmental Conditions
While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee will be:
Noise Conditions: exposed during a shift to constant or intermittent sounds at moderate to loud levels of sound dependent upon the activities of the property.

- Atmospheric Exposures: exposed to dusts, fumes, vapors, or mists
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
- Must have current, valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
