With your expertise on Information Technology best practices and current standards, you’ll advise on internal and external projects and tasks, working with hardware and software systems to deliver forward-thinking solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 1-3 years of experience providing end-user support
- 1-3 years hands-on desktop support experience including but not limited to:
- Strong understanding of desktop and laptop hardware
- Strong understanding of MS Windows 7, 10 and 11
- Strong understanding of mobile devices (i.e., iPhone, Android)
- Strong understanding of MS Office 2016/Office 365 applications
- VoIP Phone Services (Hosted VoIP Solutions)
- 1 year of hands-on Server Administration experience including but not limited to:
- Active Directory/Directory Services (AD, DNS, DHCP, WINS)
- Hands-on desktop experience (WIN7, WIN10 and WIN 11) and troubleshooting
- Network/Data Security experience
- HP / Dell Server hardware
- Email Systems/Message Integration & Collaboration/Office 365
- Server Management & Maintenance
- Backup Services
- Data Storage, Protection, Availability, and Integrity Management & Maintenance
IT TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep systems up-to-date through operating systems upgrades
- Monitor networking equipment and servers
- Assist with the design, implementation, and ongoing support of new software and features
- Monitor web performance, network availability, and security
- Oversee troubleshooting for system errors
- Provide helpdesk support for network issues
- Provide technical support either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed
- Respond to IT issues, hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
- Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software
- Modify configurations, utilities, software, etc.
- Set up equipment for new users
- Install, test, and monitor servers, firewalls, and new software
- Perform data backups
- Install and update network system improvements as needed
- Understanding Ticketing Systems
- Understanding IT Documentation Systems
- Knowledge in using remote tools to support a geographically dispersed user base and technology environment
IT TECHNICIAN PREFERRED SKILLS
- Comfortable speaking to clients regarding their technology needs and making recommendations.
- Able to work through issues from start to finish and report back with root causes and recommendations.
- To plan, perform, problem-solve, and select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation.
- Previous experience as a help desk technician, computer technician, or IT support
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Goal-oriented, organized team player who can troubleshoot and resolve multiple issues by multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently.
- Experience working with network and server management support
- Proactive mindset. Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as they are presented.
- Hands-on server hardware experience and comfortable installing parts and racking/stacking systems when necessary.
- Manage the day-to-day end-user support for remote clients.
- Ability to resolve issues related to Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, printing, desktop hardware, and connectivity issues.
- Ability to work from a ticketing system and provide quality updates to clients and internal teams
