Overview
The Assistant Project Manager plays a crucial role in supporting project management activities within our organization. This position is a 300 day State Job. It is projected to end in September of 2025. The Assistant Project Manager position is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills. The Assistant Project Manager will assist in coordinating various aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within scope. Duties
- Assist in the development and management of project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate project activities and communicate with team members to ensure alignment on objectives.
- Review and interpret schematics and blueprints to support project execution. MUST BE ABLE TO READ BLUEPRINTS.
- Utilize project management software such as Procore to track progress and manage documentation.
- Be on site to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Support the preparation of contracts and manage contract-related documentation.
- Maintain organized records of all project-related information, including schedules, budgets, and correspondence.
Skills
- MUST HAVE VALID OSHA 10 AT MINIMUM
- Proficient in project management principles with a focus on construction site operations.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Experience in reading blueprints and schematics to facilitate project understanding.
- Experience with Heavy Equipment. Hoisters License is a Plus!
- MUST BE ABLE TO PIN A FOUNDATION, USE A LASER TO SET GRADE & UNDERSTAND THE GRADES.
- Familiarity with project coordination tools and scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
- Knowledge of contract management processes is a plus.
