Cashier Assistant

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Cashier Assistant to join our team in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you will assist with daily cashier duties, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions while providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with purchases, answer questions, and provide a positive and friendly experience
• Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately using the register or POS system
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Handle returns and exchanges in a professional manner
• Provide support with inventory management, restocking, and product organization
• Assist customers in locating items and suggest additional products when appropriate
• Ensure proper cash handling and secure transactions
• Assist in maintaining store policies and procedures
• Support other team members and help with general store operations as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with customers professionally
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• High school diploma or equivalent required
