Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Loan Processor to join our dynamic team. The Loan Processor will play a crucial role in the Commercial lending process, ensuring that all loan applications are processed efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Duties
- Provides credit reports to appropriate customer service personnel on prospective borrowers within proper procedure.
- Performs loan application processing tasks, i.e. obtains required information, compiles and inputs data, etc.; contacts customers as needed in order to complete loan processing.
- Coordinates the organization and procurement of required commercial loan documentation, utilizing the appropriate checklist.
- Creates a separate loan file for each credit in accordance with prescribed operating policy.
- Verifies and processes a wide variety of credit information which will become part of the credit file, e.g., insurances, forms, etc.
- Maintains required information and notifies appropriate personnel of credit information deficiencies as appropriate.
- Dispenses credit information within prescribed policy.
- Provides information for, and assists in the preparation of, various loan reports as directed.
- Assists in the ongoing process of documenting required collateral and monitoring collateral control records; reports deficiencies to supervisor.
- Prepares a variety of letters and forms such as commitment letters, adverse action letters for declined loans, etc.; calculates estimated payments; types optional insurance disclosure and acknowledgment forms and verification of deposit and verification of employment forms.
- Maintains a number of activity logs to generate weekly or monthly reports.
- Processes paid loan files, including the return of documents to customers and retention of files in paid loan storage area.
- Answers department’s telephone calls; assists callers if possible or transfers calls to the proper individual; takes and delivers messages.
- Maintains department’s record keeping and filing systems; classifies, sorts, and files correspondence, forms, reports, and other documents; maintains records and files, often of a confidential nature.
- Opens and sorts department’s mail; prepares outgoing mail.
- Gathers and assembles data from records and other sources and prepares, completes, and/or processes reports, records, billings, mailings, and other materials.
- Reviews and notarizes Bank documents as required for commercial loan processing.
- Verify all approvals, fees, and insurance are correct before sending to other departments to ensure a smooth efficient flow of information
Requirements
- High School Education
- Experience in loan processing or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of Commercial processing practices and processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in basic math skills for financial calculations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $15.70 - $23.50 per hour
