The Internet/Web Engineer will be responsible for operational duties, gathering, analyzing, and documenting stakeholder, technical, and functional requirements. The engineer will assist with the optimization and automation of the existing Microsoft Azure environment and perform the following tasks and activities:
Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Required Experience:
- 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator with Oracle, PL/SQL.
- 1 year of experience with Oracle 19c Multi-Tenant Architecture and database infrastructure design on RAC Databases.
- Experience with Red Hat Linux & Oracle Linux Operating Systems.
- Strong understanding of database installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Unix Shell scripting or other automation tools.
- Expertise in performance tuning using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or third-party tools.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle backup methodologies, RMAN backups, and database restore operations.
- Ability to monitor alert logs and system alerts, acting on results as needed.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours production support.
- Proficiency in Linux, Unix, Java, and DBA-related functions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments.
- Knowledge of Automatic Storage Management (ASM) and Oracle Exadata.
- Ability to write and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, packages, and database triggers.
- Experience with logical database design and data models.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience in monitoring and tuning databases for high availability.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy and protection initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle Exadata.
- 3 years of experience with SQL performance tuning and database architecture.
- Experience in converting non-CDB databases to CDB.
- Experience working with Informatica.
Communication Proficiency:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex technical information effectively to stakeholders.
