Role: Help Desk/Technical Support Specialist

Location: Richmond, VA

Work Mode: Onsite

Employment Type: Long term contract

Client: State Of VA

Interview Mode: In Person Only

Required Expereince:

  • Recent experience in a full-time Help Desk/Technical Support position
  • Working knowledge of and experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems and Microsoft desktop software products, including MS Office prod
  • 2 or more years of experience entering information and working with a trouble ticket, issue tracking system
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft, Visio, SharePoint and Office applications Required
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as a team
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • CompTIA A Certification
  • Experience with Symantec’s Altiris and Ivanti’s Service Desk.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Help Desk/Technical Support: 2 years (Required)
  • Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems: 2 years (Required)
  • Microsoft, Visio, SharePoint: 2 years (Required)
  • Active Directory: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • CompTIA A (Required)
