Job Details
Duties: Deploy, configure, implement and manage large scale production and corporate networks and server infrastructure in data centres, Point of Presence (POP), edge, backbone, data centric and content delivery networks; network modelling, analysis and planning, including writing playbooks to support configuration management and application deployment; schedule and perform network maintenance, repair and upgrade tasks as needed while limiting the impact on production network; install, configure and support network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP; configure firewalls, routers and switches to maximize network efficiency and security; work with network provisioning engineers to turn up new circuits and engage troubleshoot faulty networks; document road-maps for new features, create drafts and MOPs for new standards of caching deployment; develop build scripts and automation solutions and troubleshoot network deployment issues; and commissioning and decommissioning of complex network systems.
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Applied Computer Science plus five (5) years experience as Software Developer, Network Engineer/Architect, Network Administrator, Programmer, Programmer Analyst, or related position. Foreign educational equivalent accepted.
