We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and skills in providing care appropriate to the age of patients on their assigned unit. They must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the necessary information to identify each patient's needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing diagnostic medical sonography within department and other areas
- Maintaining patient records and files
- Assuming responsibility for departmental quality assurance program
- Pursuing continuing education
- Transferring patient to and from imaging
- Rotating shifts as required
In addition to these key responsibilities, the Sonographer will also:
- Perform all requested exams for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist
- Continue to seek higher education with RDMS certification
- Participate in policy and procedure preparation in this area
- Consult with referring physicians
- Care for Trophon station
To be considered for this role, you must hold current ARDMS certification in one category and have experience performing diagnostic exams related to assigned modality. Travel may be required to provide services to various SEARHC sites.
