Job Description
- Configures and customizes JIRA Data Center and BitBucket for various agency needs.
- Provides system administration support for Atlassian tools such as (Jira, Bitbucket) & drive increased user adoption through continuous improvements within the toolset.
- Consolidates and prioritizes IT business needs related to JIRA implementation and documents updates needed.
- Maintains an intake process for organization's staff to submit JIRA improvement needs.
- Maintains a backlog of JIRA implementation improvements needed.
- Works with project teams to create new projects as needed to satisfy new and existing business requirements.
- Optimizes and maintains established projects to improve performance and work processes leveraging JIRA best practices to implement Agile, Kanban, and other frameworks optimal configurations.
- Integrates JIRA with existing tools including PPM and BitBucket to support specific business requirements.
- Updates and integrates JIRA with new features and other tools within the Atlassian suite based on best practices to optimize usage across the enterprise.
- Customizes, workflows, screens, fields, issue types, dashboards, filters, and schemes to meet business requirements.
- Customizes the toolset to align with established projects roadmap and optimize integration with CAB processes.
- Manages user permissions for tools according to the needs of projects and teams.
- Identifies opportunities and implement automations as needed to improve workflows, streamline repetitive tasks, and improve efficiency.
- Researches, recommends, and configures plugins to enhance Jira/BitBucket functionality and meet specific business requirements.
- Recommends and implements appropriate permission schemes, groups, and roles based on department team structures and security best practices.
- Reviews and audits user accounts and permissions regularly to ensure compliance with security policies and maintain license limits.
- Performs training sessions and workshops to share knowledge and best practices with users and stakeholders.
- Provides technical support to end-users and other stakeholders, troubleshooting issues and providing guidance.
- Updates SOPs with system configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Develops and maintains backup and recovery strategies for Jira, BitBucket, and installed plug-in data.
Requirements
- Working experience in JIRA Data Center administration
- Working experience in BitBucket Data Center administration
- Experience using JIRA/BitBucket REST APIs for integration, complex workflows, screen modifications, permission schemes, and notifications
- Experience designing and managing complex JQL and SQL queries
- Experience performing user administration for installed Atlassian toolset (including JIRA and BitBucket) to support project teams
- Experience troubleshooting JIRA/BitBucket issues and providing technical support to users
- Experience providing training to technical and non-technical teams to use installed Atlassian toolset
- Experience updating SOPs to document system configurations, processes, and best practices
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
