JOB SUMMARY :
The Manager of Enterprise Architecture is responsible for leading a team of enterprise architects, domain architects, solutions architects, and platform architects to define and implement the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and governance. This role oversees the development of architectural blueprints and ensures alignment with business objectives and technology standards. The manager will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to facilitate collaboration and innovation, ensuring that architectural practices are consistent and effective.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor a diverse team of architects, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Serve as a bridge between enterprise, domain, platform, and solution architects to ensure alignment with the enterprise architecture strategy.
Enterprise Architecture Strategy
Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, emphasizing cloud solutions, applications, data, and security.
Establish and enforce architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all technology implementations.
Architectural Governance
Lead architectural reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, governance standards, and enterprise policies.
Manage the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and other governance structures to oversee architectural compliance.
Innovation & Emerging Technologies
Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the enterprise technology landscape and roadmap.
Drive the innovation process and support the development of minimum viable products (MVPs) to demonstrate value to stakeholders.
Collaboration & Communication
Communicate strategic themes and key business drivers for architecture to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to gather requirements and ensure alignment with the broader enterprise architecture landscape.
Documentation & Standards Development
Develop and document comprehensive standards for architects to refer to, covering all domains of data, cloud / infrastructure, applications / integrations, business architecture, and security.
Maintain and manage enterprise architecture tools and repositories.
Community Engagement
Drive the Architecture Community of Practice to promote thought leadership, industry trends, and best practices within the enterprise.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of 20 years of experience in IT, with at least 10 years in an enterprise architecture role.
Proven experience in leading teams and managing architectural practices.
Extensive expertise in enterprise architecture best practices, guiding principles, governance, and standards.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools (e.g., LeanIX, iServer) and cloud platforms.
Certification in TOGAF standards and hands-on experience in applying these principles.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Ability to work regular hours, with occasional or mandatory overtime; may be required to work rotating shifts.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
