Job Description
This role will primarily be targeted with existing Omdia accounts from across the technology service provider market.
Omdia is part of Informa Tech, offering clients research and advisory solutions to support their business objectives of better client engagements, business development and client retention.
- Primarily to win new business and develop allocated strategic accounts.
- Be seen by client as the face of Omdia Intelligence & Advice
- Be the principle commercial contact between Informa and your assigned customer base.
- Maintain and develop wide ranging relationships within your assigned customer base.
- Optimise and manage sales revenue and growth from a designated accounts base to ensure high levels of customer retention and revenue growth. Penetrate and develop new business and revenue from these accounts.
- To promote the value and use of the products and services you have responsibility for across all potential customers both internally and externally and identify and communicate other opportunities outside of those products.
- To extend the geographic and demographic spread of your products within your assigned customer base.

Commercial Focus
Provides commercial and solution expertise to optimise levels of commercial value to Omdia at all stages of the sales, bid and delivery lifecycle. Establishes and implements the most effective commercial, legal and regulatory framework for contracts or accounts.
Consultative Selling / Account Planning
Takes accountability for defining and executing the organisation’s strategy in respect to a customer. Challenges the status quo and breaks new ground in the pursuit of commercial advantage. Ability to develop joint customer business plans and mutually agreed measures of performance, over multiple time horizons to ensure that the strategy of the account is delivered, and the organisation is effectively mobilised.
Impact / Influence
Communicates effectively (written and spoken) up to C-Suite. Delivers powerful and engaging presentations to client audiences. Communicates complex concepts and their business impact, in a way that is understandable to the relevant audience. Negotiates key principles to gain agreement and add value to the organisation.
Leveraging Relationships
Develops and maintains stable and long-term relationships at different internal and external organisational levels. Cultivates strong mutual relationships inside the organisation and customer’s organisation. Effectively builds cross boundary & border relationships, through an appreciation of cultural nuances and working styles.
Financial Acumen
Ability to make client financial evaluations: pricing and business models.
