Job Summary:IRG Client is seeking a Network Architect to support and enhance corporate data and voice networks. The selected contractor will be responsible for network assessment, planning, design, implementation, troubleshooting, and security management in alignment with business and application requirements. The Network Architect will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer and stakeholders to define project scope, manage deliverables, and ensure compliance with best practices in network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess business and application requirements for corporate data and voice networks.
- Plan, design, and upgrade network installations and infrastructure.
- Establish and maintain backup, version control, and security defense systems.
- Troubleshoot network architecture, identify issues, and implement enhancements.
- Optimize network installations to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new network solutions.
- Deliver detailed weekly status reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Attend and lead status meetings with the Project Management Team, Contract Administrator, and other stakeholders.
- Firewall Design & Administration: Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto NGFW, IPS/IDS
- Networking Technologies: Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, DNS, DHCP
- Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, Azure
- Security & Remote Connectivity: VPN Administration, Advanced NAT/PAT
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Network diagnostics, performance tuning
- Software-Defined Networking: Design and implementation best practices
- Tools & Documentation: Microsoft Visio (network diagrams), project management methodologies
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise and government networks.
- Strong understanding of complex networking and firewall configurations.
- Expertise in remote connectivity solutions and advanced security protocols.
- Ability to manage and document project deliverables effectively.
