Job Responsibilities
- Perform database administration and support for other databases as needed.
- Perform database installation, patch updates, and release upgrades.
- Assist with migrations.
- Ensure optimal performance and high availability for databases in high volume 24x7 operations to meet or exceed service metrics.
- Develop database monitoring and reporting tools.
- Develop and implement high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.
- Create procedures and implement periodic testing of the strategies.
- Set up and maintain effective backup, restore, and verification procedures for databases.
- Develop and implement operational support plans and procedures for database Unix, Solaris, Linux, and RMAN.
- Travel / relocation required as jobs to be performed at various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.
Salary

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related, Math, or any Engineering.
Experience
5 years as a Database Administrator or related.
