Duties
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and care.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
- Collect, label, and process specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs before, during, and after the procedure to ensure their well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and specimen collections.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient service.
- Adhere to all hospital protocols and laboratory techniques to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in training new staff members on phlebotomy procedures as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in phlebotomy or a related clinical laboratory environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to blood collection procedures.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment used in specimen collection and processing.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and comfort.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting while maintaining attention to detail.
