Job Title: Maintenance Technician 1
Pay Rate: $20/Hr.
Duration: 12 Months (potential to get further extension based on performance)
Location: Plainfield, IN
Shift: 6 AM to 2:30 PM Eastern time (Overtime hours available)
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician 1
- Maintains and repairs facilities' equipment
- Hands-on troubleshooting of equipment such as conveyors, stretch wrappers, and carton erectors
- Preventive maintenance of building and conveyor equipment throughout the distribution center
- General and detailed maintenance including patching, painting, vacuuming, hardware repairs, and other repair/replacement work as required
Requirement:
- High school diploma/GED
- 1 years’ demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in the distribution center
- 1-3 years of facility-related experience. The manager prefers a candidate willing to stay in this position long-term and open to voluntary overtime.
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving aptitude
- Working knowledge of safety protocols for electrical, mechanical, and maintenance work
- Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in an industrial setting
- Preventative maintenance processes
- Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools
- Able to work overtime when needed
- Able to climb stairs and ladders, working from heights up to 45 feet, Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Must be able to work in a cold environment for extended periods and occasionally in extreme cold
- Able to drive powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
