Job Title: Quality Control Technician (Chemistry)
Pay Rate: $25/HR
Duration: 9 months
Location: Bay Point, CA (Onsite)
Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Note: Ability to work on requested shift. Training rotations may occur on a different shift than the application states, and can take 1-3 months to complete.
Shifts may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts as well as weekends
We are looking for a Quality Control Technician (Chemistry).
- Complies with all Safety, Health, and Environmental rules, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct all laboratory work in a safe manner, including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to the site safety practices, use of lab equipment, 5S, etc.
- Perform all work in strict adherence to QC standard laboratory procedures (SLPs).
- Reviews and provides recommended improvements to QC standard laboratory procedures (SLPs).
- Inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods according to defined instructions, procedures, and methods.
- Executed lab testing and generated test data, documentation, and lab reports.
- Take on equipment ownership and be responsible for maintaining safe operation of the assigned equipment.
- Reporting of lab results and methods according to accepted company lab practices; results, reports, and observations will be communicated to internal/external customers.
- Record data in Excel or lab notebooks, processes documentation, and computer databases such as SAP
- Maintains lab equipment in proper working order and performs verifications.
- Troubleshoots instrumentation failures.
- Participates in measuring system analysis testing.
- Understanding of mathematical and statistical techniques relevant to adhesive product testing.
Requirements:
- Reporting directly to the Quality Control Supervisor, the QC Lab Specialist is responsible for testing the chemical, physical, and mechanical properties of materials to determine conformance to standards and specifications.
- High school diploma/GED and experience working in a chemical laboratory preferred.
- Familiar with analytical equipment, wet chemistry techniques, and/or mechanical testing apparatuses.
- Ability to work on requested shift. Training rotations may occur on a different shift than the application states and can take 1-3 months to complete.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
