Job Summary
The Manufacturing Inspector is responsible for performing quality inspections on sub-assemblies, final products, and components to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards. This role involves conducting dimensional, visual, and physical inspections using precision measurement tools. The Mechanical Inspector ensures that medical devices and components comply with regulatory and company standards while supporting quality leads and contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Identify and communicate deviations from quality standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Utilize hand gauges (calipers, micrometers, height/depth gauges, etc.) for measurements.
- Conduct product sampling and part inspections based on established procedures.
- Report and document non-conforming materials through Non-Conformance Reports (NLRs).
- Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and quality regulations.
- Develop and implement robust inspection plans for molded components and validations.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and validation inspections as required.
- Conduct Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (Gauge R&R) studies when necessary.
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) software to analyze data and improve quality control.
- Participate in special projects and provide quality support as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in mechanical inspection, quality control, or a related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of measurement tools and inspection techniques.
- Familiarity with SPC software and statistical analysis.
- Ability to follow cGMP and regulatory compliance guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
