Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Material Planner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of materials, and optimizing production planning processes. This role is crucial in supporting our supply chain operations and maintaining efficient logistics to meet production demands.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production planning schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Utilize Oracle EBS for inventory management and tracking of material requirements.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure the timely delivery of materials from suppliers.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, identifying potential shortages or excesses.
- Manage contracts with suppliers and negotiate terms as necessary.
- Oversee warehouse operations related to material handling and storage.
- Work closely with fabrication teams to ensure that all materials required for production are available on time.
- Implement MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes to optimize material flow.
Experience
- Proven experience in production planning or material management within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management practices.
- Experience in contract management and supplier negotiations is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing data to make informed decisions regarding material procurement and inventory control.
