- Local Material Planner - Job Description
- Planning materials for manufacturing, ensuring timely delivery to secure production. The role is alsoaccountable to collect, processes in the system, reports, and evaluates production batch sheets and pack orders in order to maintain a high-level Inventory record accuracy in oracle for raw materials and finish goods. Create material transfers from / to distribution centers.
- Responsible for the execution of the Material Requirements Plan for the defined portfolio in the agreed horizon including the preparation, review and confirmation of planned orders.
- Provide an efficient material requirement plan and align with relevant stakeholder as required in particular Site Production Scheduler and the Regional Supply Planner.
- Timely conversion of suggestions to purchase requisitions and resolved exceptions
- Provide accurate procurement forecast for relevant local materials and suppliers - 12 months MRP forecast.
- Responsible for the validation of MRP exception and the creation of recommendations to create a viable Material Requirements Plan.
- Responsible for high level of inventory record accuracy for Site and Central Warehouse
- Accurate and timely production reporting and raw material consumption in Oracle
- Responsible for cycle counting process for Central warehouse and Site
- Review and report of inventory levels and call off inventories for supply for Site and Central warehouse
- Create Material transfers from / to Distribution Centers.
- Monthly reporting as required in alignment with the IBP process and continuous improvement activities.
- Support relevant demand and supply forums in particular the IBP process : Provide input as required, report issues and attend at the local Supply Point Capability review.
- Close alignment and review between Regional Supply Planner and Site Production Scheduler on supply plan.
- Act as a data custodian for specific data elements including, Executional data management activities for designated system attributes.
- Adherence to global data governance policy.
- Make recommendations for improvement to site-level Data Stewards. Qualifications :
- Mandatory :
- Bachelors Degree level qualification in Supply Chain Management or related field of CPIM (APICS or similar proof of skills / educational background)
- Experience (2 years) in Operational Supply Chain and Supply Planning in Materials Planning / Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Inventory control and production reporting
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, written, verbal communication, collaboration and presentation skills
- Good meeting management, negotiation and coordination skills
- Experience using integrated supply planning system
- Very good knowledge of MRP, Inventory tools and processes
- Desirable :
- Supply Chain planning, markets and products experience of the agrochemical industry (or affiliated e.g. pharmaceutical, life science)
- Understanding of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) principles
- Fluency in English
