Overview
We are seeking an experienced Soldering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the assembly and soldering of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and assemblies, along with a thorough understanding of IPC standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of proficiency in hand soldering techniques, ensuring precision and high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precise hand soldering of components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and assemblies, including surface-mount and through-hole components.
- Assemble components, cables, and connectors to create functional PCB assemblies, following schematics, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Inspect solder joints for quality and compliance with IPC-A-610 and other relevant industry standards. Perform rework as necessary to correct defects.
- Ensure all soldering work follows IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721) for soldering and assembly processes, guaranteeing the highest standards of workmanship.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly work, including work orders, inspection reports, and quality control logs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in soldering, assembly, and rework of PCBs and electronic assemblies.
- IPC Certification: Must hold an IPC-A-610 certification or IPC-7711/7721 certification for soldering and rework.
- Expertise in hand soldering both through-hole and surface-mount components. Experience with fine-pitch components, BGA, and micro soldering is a plus.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality to ensure all soldering and assembly work meets required standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair soldering defects, such as cold joints, bridges, and component misalignment.
- Experience with various soldering tools and equipment, including soldering irons, hot-air rework stations, and desoldering tools.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
