Job Description:

We are seeking a Healthcare Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead and partner with our Operational Leadership Team in the planning and setup of a centralized Capacity Command Center.

This initiative is focused on optimizing patient throughput across a multi-site healthcare system.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience leading the development or implementation of a capacity command center, ideally within a hospital or health system, and will provide strategic guidance on workflows, processes, and best practices.

This role does not require Epic system expertise, as existing in-house resources will handle Epic-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted advisor and SME for hospital operational leaders in the development of a centralized Capacity Command Center.
• Lead discovery sessions to understand current state capacity and throughput processes across multiple sites.
• Develop a strategic roadmap for a command center focused on real-time capacity management and patient throughput.
• Provide expertise in best practices for centralizing and standardizing workflows (e.g., admissions, transfers, discharges, bed allocation).
• Collaborate with existing Epic team to align operational design with system capabilities.
• Recommend KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and operational models to drive data-informed decision-making.
• Assist with change management and operational readiness planning.
