JOB PURPOSE :
The primary duty of the OSS is to provide technical expertise & support in facilitating the smooth running of the IT service technology platforms. OSS is responsible to assist users in respective sites for any IT related issues / queries / concerns.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer or similar role
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
Hands-on experience with Windows / Linux / Mac OS installation, reimaging & troubleshooting
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting laptop, desktop, thin clients, printer, telephony hardware issues
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting basic network, VPN, email (G suite)
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic software technical issues
Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (e.g. Beyond trust, ServiceNow, etc.)
Manage hardware purchase request & responsible for updating the computer hardware inventory
Monitoring of incidents and service requests in ServiceNow
Creation of documents for procedures
Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal (Bilingual English & French)
Experience working in MFG / Lab clean rooms
Provide support during non-business hours (on-call) when required
