What are the responsibilities and job description for the T&D Estimator position at InfraRec.?
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team, specializing in the development of accurate and competitive estimates for projects involving substation construction, transmission line construction, and distribution line projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of utility construction processes, materials, labor, and equipment requirements, coupled with the ability to interpret complex project specifications and drawings.
Key Responsibilities :
- Estimate Development : Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for substation, transmission, and distribution line projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Bid Management : Develop and submit competitive bids by analyzing RFPs, RFQs, and project specifications while identifying risks and opportunities.
- Project Scope Review : Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to fully understand project scopes and align estimates with client expectations.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination : Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accuracy, compliance, and cost competitiveness.
- Data Analysis : Utilize historical data, market trends, and current cost factors to refine and validate estimates.
- Documentation : Maintain organized records of estimates, cost analyses, and bid submissions for future reference and post-project evaluations.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the engineering, construction, and procurement teams to align estimates with operational capabilities and ensure constructability.
