Job Summary: This position is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk across various aspects of the Company, including financial, operational, and compliance-related risks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to generate meaningful insights and trends that support risk assessment and decision making
- Conduct thorough analysis of internal and external factors that have the potential to impact the Company’s operations and goals
- Ensure the seamless transfer of data for subcontractors and vendors within the Company’s CRM
- Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management, outlining key risk exposures, potential impacts, and proposed strategies
- Collaborate with other departments to gather data and insights; apply quantitative and qualitative methods to assess risk exposure
- Develop and recommend strategies to mitigate identified risks, including the design of controls, processes, and contingency plans
- Identify areas for improvement and suggest innovative solutions to enhance the Company’s risk management capabilities
- Maintain up to date on industry best practices and emerging trends to enhance risk management approaches
- Ensure compliance with worker’s compensation coverage regulations in applicable states
- Conduct routine data quality audits to ensure accuracy; identify and resolve discrepancies
- Fulfill ad hoc report requests
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, finance or other relevant field from a four-year college or university
- Certification in Risk Management (CRM) preferred
- Certification in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) preferred
Experience:
- Two years experience in risk analysis, risk management, or other relevant role
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
Technical Skills:
- Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with and/or the ability to quickly learn the Company’s CRM
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, software, and statistical techniques
- Knowledge of industry operations, technologies, and associated risks
Soft Skills:
- Highly organized and detail orientated
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
- Ability to analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
- Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
- Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
- May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
