SUMMARY:
The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for carrying out established inspection processes in order to ensure conformity of Medical Devices post servicing for the release for use.
IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Test and inspect finished product prior to release.
- Ensure timely inspection of devices are completed to meet daily and weekly orders.
- Review work order of services performed to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize InfuSystem’s internal application to document results of inspection for each device.
- Knowledge of tools and gauges used in testing of the medical devices.
- Accurately follow established process and procedures to inspect, test and release product.
- Remain flexible, open, and eager to learn/teach fellow employees.
- Provide feedback to Supervisor regarding any trends in failures identified during inspection for development of continual improvement efforts.
- Understand and execute principals of 5S workplace organization.
- Understand and execute good documentation practices.
- Performs other related duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with and a minimum of two years related experience and/or combination of education and experience in quality.
- Knowledgeable of Quality Management Systems. (Preferred)
- This position requires exceptional verbal and communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to add, subtract, and match numbers.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Software and Microsoft Office Suite to include word, excel, and outlook.
