About the position:
In preparation for major business enhancing efforts, ING is seeking a Governance, Risk and Compliance Technical Project Manager to support our Tech department. This role will involve working closely with cross functional leads and departments locally and globally to project manage our technology audit readiness. Additionally, it will involve managing various workstream projects which support other business lines which require technical expertise for delivery. Top candidates will have experience collaborating with technical SMEs as well as Financial Process & Product SMEs in a global organization to successfully drive program deliverables. The role will be part of the ING Americas CIO office and will report directly to the Americas Tech Program Lead for Commercial Banking.

ING Americas CIO Office is an organization which executes strategic plans to align all technology teams with ING’s overall strategy and with the local business and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
As a GRC Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for:
- Lead, manage, and drive projects from initiation through to successful delivery, ensuring alignment with project objective and timelines.
- Assist the Program Lead for Tech in managing audit readiness (e.g. Federal Reserve, FFIEC handbook compliance).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment, quant, and technology teams, to define and document project requirements.
- Work with assigned Tech SMEs to deliver a comprehensive gap analysis in line with FFIEC handbooks and Federal Reserve and NYDFS expectations.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track progress, identify risks, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Work closely with development teams, and other departments to ensure that technology solutions are implemented on time and within scope of FFIEC requirements.
- Manage tech deliverables for business line workstreams.
- Ensure effective stakeholder management by understanding their needs and addressing any concerns in a timely manner.
- Facilitate meetings, ensuring clear communication of goals, timelines, and deliverables and prepare and present clear, concise, and visually engaging project updates and presentations for project team.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- Approximately 3-5 years of experience in project management within the financial services industry.
- Proven experience in managing complex technology and regulatory driven projects, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and a compliance mindset.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to develop and track project plans and creation of associated project management materials.
- Strong experience communicating project status and executive summaries towards senior stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and able to proactively engage with stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage expectations across multiple stakeholders.
Preferred:
- PMP certification or equivalent project management office training is preferred.
- Experience working in a regulatory environment.
- Audit and/or compliance experience within the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
- Familiarity with ING’s global network and systems.
Salary range: $45 -$65/hr
