Job Description
With more than 11,000 employees, HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division is the largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi and a major contributor to the economic growth of Alabama. For nearly 85 years, we’ve designed, built and maintained amphibious ships, destroyers, and cutters for the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. The largest supplier of U.S. Navy surface combatants, we’re simultaneously building four classes of ships and have pioneered the development and production of technologically advanced, highly capable ships for the surface Navy fleet for decades. You’ll spend two full weeks becoming fully immersed within the world of shipbuilding. You will have the opportunity to work alongside professionals throughout the shipyard, shadowing, learning and contributing each day of the Program. By the time you complete the Program, you will have an excellent working knowledge of how internal departments function and how Ingalls builds the finest ships for our customers.

Basic Qualifications
A requirement of this program is the completion of a Capstone Project to be presented to Ingalls executive leadership. The Capstone Project will allow you to demonstrate in a creative and unique way what you have learned throughout the process and how you plan to implement this knowledge into your role in the school system. The day-to-day schedule will designate time for participants to create and complete their Project.

Basic Qualifications
- Be currently employed as an educator in an accredited school
- Successfully complete a criminal background investigation, physical, and a hair follicle drug screen
- Commit to work a 40-hour work week for the two week duration of the program (June 9th - June 20th)
- Must have and bring steel toe shoes to the program daily.
