ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
We are seeking a skilled, energetic and business-oriented advisor as Counsel to join our global legal team. This role will be for the North American Region and will engage with our legal and business colleagues in other regions with the emphasis on United States matters.
The North American Region General Counsel is located in Alpharetta, Georgia and the General Counsel is located in France. The successful candidate will provide advice on a variety of topics with the primary focus on customer and vendor contracts that may include global contracts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Advise, draft and negotiate sales and procurement contracts, including hardware and software solution contracts and professional service contracts.
- Consult and advise Ingenico Sales, Solutions and Operations teams on a range of commercial matters with a focus on matters relating to technology, security and solutions as well as regulatory matters.
- Advise and evaluate liability and risk exposure on various agreements and matters and make recommendations to North American Region
- General Counsel and various internal business teams.
- Assist in the areas of labor/employment law, corporate law and civil litigation and instructing and supervising outside counsel retained by Ingenico.
- Assist with implementing and educating various Ingenico employees on internal policies, use of templates and legal processes.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of a business and corporate law in United States and understanding of privacy and security issues related to solutions in United States.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with attention to detail, deadlines and collaboration.
- Use and knowledge of contract management solutions.
- Provide clear, accurate and concise legal guidance and counsel.
- Ability to collaborate with teams in various countries and functions.
- Experience working with clients in various countries is a plus.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 years of experience as a legal counsel with prior experience with technology related or fintech companies preferred but not required.
- JD from an ABA accredited law school and strong academic credentials.
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one state.
