Ingram Content Group (ICG) is searching for a Spanish-speaking Collection Development Librarian II to join our innovative Collection and Metadata Development team in La Vergne, TN. This is an exciting opportunity to surface the best publishers of authentic Spanish titles worldwide for our publisher solutions teams, and to develop a cohesive Spanish-language collection development service that helps libraries find and select the best content for their communities. You will also work with the other Ingram Collection Development Librarians to grow and maintain our proprietary title database(s) and to create and deliver balanced and inclusive lists and services for Spanish language materials and other categories as assigned. You’ll represent Ingram Library Services in meetings with Spanish-language publishers and customers, and by creating and delivering content for Ingram’s e-newsletters, webinars, podcasts, customer meetings, and conference presentations. Serves as Spanish-language expert and thought leader for the Collection and Metadata Development department.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS, MLIS, MSLS or other accepted accreditations from ALA) from school accredited by the American Library Association
- 3 years of experience in public libraries, school libraries, and/or academic libraries
- 1 year collection development experience
- Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of integrated library catalog systems; for example, SirsiDynix, Polaris, Sierra, ExLibris
- Knowledge of RDA and AACR2 cataloging standards, LCSH, LC and Dewey classification schedules, and MARC21/OCLC formats
- Enhance and maintain an intricate Collection Development title database used to create customized lists for ongoing collection development, outsourced collection development, iCurate services, Opening Day Collections, Standing Orders, ipage lists and TIMS record enhancement.
- Takes lead on behalf of department as needed on custom collection development projects and services for libraries.
- Works with Collection Development management to develop and enhance iCurate services for Spanish-language collection development utilizing knowledge of libraries’ collection needs and Spanish-language publishing.
- Provides guidance to library customers about weeding, collection development norms, budget allocations, and other practices for building Spanish-language collections for all ages; consults about outsourcing, including collection analysis services and ongoing selection.
- Educates customer librarians about Ingram tools, services, and capabilities, with a focus around Spanish-language materials.
- Represents Ingram to customers and other industry professionals at conferences as required.
- Meets with publishers for knowledge of new and forthcoming titles. Uses professional knowledge of reviews, trade news, and library journals to stay current in the field and to educate and advise publishers on target audiences and product viability. Suggests promotional vehicles and other marketing options. Participates in industry associations to maintain publisher and vendor relationships.
- Writes articles in English and Spanish for newsletters, blog, ipage, and industry publications to keep customers apprised of titles, industry trends, and opportunities. Provides library ipage promotion recommendations.
- Plans, researches, writes, manages, and executes webinars and podcasts on a variety of topics designed to demonstrate Ingram Library Services knowledge and expertise as assigned.

Salary : $63,945 - $80,849
