Job Title: Accountant

Location: San Jose, CA or Austin, TX

FULL-TIME

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs moderately complex accounts payable and receivable work. Work involves preparing, posting, balancing, and reconciling, financial statements, records, and documents. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: B.A./B.S. degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field

EXPERIENCE: Three to five years full-time, wage-earning experience in accounting, auditing, budget preparation, or financial operations. Work experience in manufacturing industry is a plus.

SKILLS:

• Excellent organizing abilities
• Great attention to detail
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP)
• Mandarin is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Prepares financial reports, cost data, and budget items.
• Audits accounting and control records for accuracy and conformance to established standards and procedures; researches and reconciles discrepancies and reports findings; and reconciles monthly reports:
• Recommends improvements, adaptations, or revisions to the accounting system and accompanying procedures: and
• Provides technical assistance in accounts payable transactions.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
