Job Title
Sr. Director, Marketing, US/Canada & Global Dairy Category Lead
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the marketing strategy for the category and drive execution to deliver growth ambition.
- Translate global category strategies into an execution plan for regional growth and business segment ambition.
- Provide insights, marcoms, and digital marketing activity guidance to effectively sell portfolio of category products and close deals.
- Champion adoption of new differentiated marketing capabilities within the regional business.
Leadership Roles
Regional Marketing Leadership
- Articulate regional growth opportunities and shape global category strategies.
- Derive regional marketing and G2M plans from global category strategies.
- Uncover new growth pockets for the business by working with the Global Market Data Analytics team to size and prioritize opportunities.
- Facilitate or run the annual regional customer segmentation process to bring objectivity to customer allocation.
- Ensure flawless execution of global and regional launches.
- Align Insights, Marketing Communication, and Digital COE plans with business priorities and brand position externally.
- Drive the adoption of new differentiated marketing capabilities within the business.
- Manage the marketing budget and maximize return on investment.
Global Category Leadership
- Develop the global category strategy (5 year horizon) to deliver segment priorities.
- Work with the global application team to define the technical roadmap to deliver the category strategy.
- Oversee tracking of progress and corrective actions in the development and execution of a 0-18 month implementation plan.
- Coordinate effective resources to support the execution of the strategy in the region.
- Ensure results are reported consistently across the business using the ARA classification.
- Guide the development of the budget and strategic plan.
- Regularly assess sub-category performance at a customer brand level for texture and healthfulness vs. likely consumer expectation.
- Identify gaps that would revolutionize sub-category or brand appeal.
- Market and competitor intelligence for the category providing updates to customers and Ingredion.
- Leverage inputs to shape strategy and plans.
- Participate in customer meetings to build market knowledge, inform solution development/proposal, and help convert sales opportunities.
- Act as the marketing lead for major global category customers and shape account plans.
Requirements
- Degree qualified, preferably MBA or Masters degree in Engineering, Food Science, or Marketing.
- Minimum 15 years previous experience in marketing with strong knowledge of the category.
- Experience within the ingredients industry in a Sales, Marketing, or Technical position.
- Ability to thrive in a high-performance environment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Flexible, responsive, and works well on own initiative.
- Fluent in English.
